"Our
son and I thoroughly enjoyed working with “Miss Gill” and my husband
and I considered her a key player in the team needed to assist our
sensory challenged child. We were sad to say
goodbye when we had to move out-of-state.
Our son enjoyed
the fact that she was always happy to see him and when asked what he
enjoyed best about working with Miss Gill he said, “I liked that she
was extremely nice and that she really cared about me.” She was someone he could relate to and we both came to regard
her as a friend. As a professional, it was clear
that she was concerned about his OT progress but it was also clear
that she cared about him on a personal level as well.
Miss Gill was
always full of helpful suggestions for our “at home” program and was
an encouragement to both our son and me when times were tough and
progress seemed slow. Miss Gill was up-to-date
on the latest effective treatments available and was also open to
learning about new treatments. She went above
and beyond the call of duty by creating a web site where parents
could share ideas and support one another and she often made parents
aware of upcoming educational events to help them to better
understand their children’s situations.
I very much
appreciated the “lending library” that she created and often took
advantage of all the information housed there. When it was possible, she also allowed us to try some of the “SI
therapy” equipment/items which helped us to determine which products
worked well for us prior to purchasing them – a very helpful and
economical thing to do. I would love to see her expand her business
further to include a larger facility with additional equipment.
Our collective
experience with Miss Gill was a very positive one and we would
recommend her highly."
